Product Description

Infrared-grade quartz windows are produced from high‑purity natural fused quartz via electric fusion. They provide broad spectral transmission from about 260 nm up to 3.5 µm. The hydroxyl (OH) content is controlled to ≤5 ppm, with very low bubble inclusion, an extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion, and excellent chemical durability and purity. These properties make them well suited for laser applications, cost-effective IR viewing windows, and as base substrates for infrared optical filter coatings.

In infrared technology applications, devices such as infrared direction finders, infrared cameras, infrared beam steerers/deflectors, and infrared communication equipment are equipped with optical components—such as lenses and mirrors—made from infrared optical quartz glass.
